no more placenta previa

it's been a busy day here and yet i still find the time to blog. i love it and i prioritize bloggin'. i am working with my korean students right now but i have a break so i'm eating crackers, watching gilmore girls, and blogging!
multi taskin' relaxin'!
i've enjoyed catching up with people today, cleaning my house, and running errands. and tonight i have a girl's night for the dvr bachelor season premier!
this morning we had our ultra sound, which is always breathtaking! and good news!!! my placenta previa went from complete coverage to 5 centimeters away from the cervix! tmi? well welcome to my blog. i needed it to move 2 cm to be in the clear so i'm way in the clear now :)  i am a normal pregnant case!! and labor will be all natural now (well epidural of course but no more 36 wk planned c-section!!) and no more ultra sounds anymore either.... which will be sad but i've been lucky to have as many as i have.
also our baby is measuring 1.5 weeks ahead of schedule. but maybe she is just huge. which she is!! above average on head size, length, femur, abdomen, weight, etc!! she's already 1 lb 11 oz at 23 weeks! oh baby! i do hope i have as plump of a baby as my body frame will allow!! chubby babies are adorable!
if you're gonna be a big pregnant lady, it helps if you can use the excuse that you have a big baby! gosh, i cannot wait to meet this little baby girl!
ok well i should relax my eyes from the computer screen and watch the tv screen.

babies and moab!

Just sitting here with my feet up- that's not unusual but tonight it is necessary- I am ALREADY that crazy woman with swollen feet and ankles. Chase and I went to seven peaks for 1.5 hours this evening and my ankles were feeling weird and I looked down and Mother of Pearl- we have gout feet, ladies and gentleman. it was totally worth it considering i just walked around the park watching chase, tay, and tar riding rides! welcome to my summer! anyways. my extremities.....they actually look like my baby nephew Andrew's feet but it's cute on him. this is 2 hours later with a lot of swelling gone down...... you can actually see some ankle bone. they're still cankley but not so much....... i'll be good as new tomorrow.... at least till i grocery shop and have to walk across the parking lot or something strenuous like that.... apparently.

in case you are a normal person and don't know what my normal ankles look like- let me remind you. good thing i take these photos so often. i actually have proportionately small ankles for my body..... they're called the weak ankles (look to kronk for validity) ....... well not anymore.

it's only month 6 and i'm swelling up like a "blueberry" as my lovely sister-in-law labeled me over the weekend. more on that later. ah yes my self esteem is flying. luckily my husband finds me unusually sexy while pregnant- he says my shortness makes pregnancy look even more accentuated which he finds cute? thank goodness. i wish i shared his perspective but i'll have to lean on his testimony for a while :)

it's been some crazy days lately! let's start with the most exciting day which happens to be the first day of my story telling. my bestie kelly had her precious baby girl on thursday morning!!
i got many phone calls (i slept right through them) at 2 am early thursday morning  (i'm a deep sleeper! i take it very seriously.) Chase busted in (luckily he couldn't sleep and was up late watching some murder show or something. i actually know it was the hand of God bc normally he is sound asleep next to me at 2 am but he needed to be awake to screen the calls!!!) and told me I needed to call Kelly immediately. It was 2 am so at first I was livid that he would wake up his pregnant wife! but then it registered that he said KELLY so i called her and we were off to Layton to watch Reagan so she could jet to the hospital! we were there by 3 am and it was a long, joyful day! I was so happy to be close-ish and tend Reagan during this monumental moment for Kelly!!! I'm so happy that God was watching out for them and that little Daryn arrived safely. What an angel!  I can't wait to visit Kelly soon and meet Daryn!
Reagan was an angel while I tended her- even though she was newly potty trained and I bugged her every 10 minutes to remind her to remind me when she needs to use the potty. I was determined to have no accidents so Kelly would be less stressed and proud of me. Selfless and selfish :) Reagan was a little taken aback when woke up bright and early and she saw a giant laying in the guest bed at her parents' house. then he reached for her and asked for a hug! how dare he! there was a major melt down- but then she warmed right up to Chase and was a doll for me all the rest of the day. We had fun! as you can see in her smiley smile face! hence! cute!
she's so happy to be a big sister!!!

other news for this weekend is our anderson family trip to moab :)
i once again had to watch people do a bunch of stuff that i was forbidden to do. four wheeling. pregnant during the whole summer? who's the genius that planned that? oh yeah that was me. but luckily my sister-in-law was right there with me! we have the same due date! which is so fun! and we're both having girls :) they'll be besties
four wheeling or not, moab was still so fun! we did some fun hikes, played games, watched movies, napped, read books, camped (in a trailer of course), ate, swam, and saw the beautiful scenery of moab. i love family time and the extra long weekend! it was just the best to be with family!
the arches national park has over 2000 arches (thanks tour guide kina for the fun facts) and these two arches are called the windows. beautiful! me and my sis-in-law, the beautiful kina!

p.s. woah the baby is kicking like crazy now. chase for sure 100% felt the baby kick today on the drive back from moab! you could actually see her little foot through my shirt kicking! amazing miracle of life that baby! p.p.s. my belly button looks weird now. i will refrain from sharing the outtie belly button pic but you can ask my mom or kelly for a disturbing pic if you want to see. they didn't appreciate it like i hoped. hahaha ok side tracked- back to moab pics.
doing what i do best- taking breaks on hikes.

ciara and her love nathan on our hike on day 1! we went to double arches, too! hence!
on day 2 of hiking we did the 3 mile hike to the delicate arch! i did it last year with the schroedter fam at our reunion but this year it seemed more difficult! however, i kept my complaining to a minimum and never stopped walking. i was the rear of that pack but i still kept walking! and i only fell twice. when i fell down this little slope and some other tourists all gasped- chase looked back and was quite upset with me. but baby was alright and so was i. he said "i don't care if you fall. i care if you fall when you're pregnant." hahaha.
also on the hike i heard this mother whisper to her daughter who was crying, "that girl is pregnant. if she can do it, you can do it." hahahaha well the little girl was 9 years old or younger in her defense. and me- i'm just a freak show people use as justification now! i really have popped in the last three weeks. i hope i have reached a plateau for a while!
ok back to the hike...... slow and steady wins the race.... or at least gets you to finish the race. this is where i was labeled the blueberry. my hands got crazy! so sausage-like that they were twice the size and i couldn't even spread apart my fingers because they were all wedged together! this is the point where i decided ONCE they un-swole i would take off my wedding ring for the rest of the pregnancy! i found a replacement ring for the next lil while! my mother-in-law told me to stop drinking water. that sounds like it could only help.....

we made it to the end! and we found a nice spot in the shade!

what a splendid vacay!
there were some other highlights during the game password. reminder to myself: shield.
chase ate a nasty pawn minnow when he lost a dare.
we put a live toad in the sink and ciara found it when she was washing her face- it jumped and brushed her cheek- the whole campsite heard!
the boys found a huge nasty black cricket and threw it over the girl's shower. more screams.
ah yes there is a lot of maturity going on with the anderson trips!
we had a blast and made some great memories. family is what it's all about.

well i better get to bed! i'm working two jobs this summer, exhausted, and i have my 24 week ultra sound at 9 am tomorrow. hopefully my placenta previa condition has gotten better. i'm sure it has! the odds are in my favor. like a 90% chance. i'm sure you'lll hear all about it and get an official 25 week belly pic in a couple days via this blog- i like to take the pics every 5 weeks for this pregnancy so you can see the difference. in fact, i better take my maternity pics soon before i get to monstrous! mental note.
i'm thinking i'll be a 40 lbs gaining type pregnant lady. something to look forward to! but honestly now that i'm feeling little baby capri kicking 24/7 and she's growing so big- it's all worth it and i'm taking perfect care of my health (counting calories, exercising, taking the pills, etc!)!! and just gotta roll with the punches! pun! life is good and there is so much excitement to look forward to for tomorrow alone- baby anderson agrees bc she just gave the grandest kick!
kick over and out!

Crib

Today we got a crib! Julie wanted to get us a crib that turns into a toddler bed type deal! Well we found a one-month-used crib on ksl  (aka julie found it) and it's beautiful. Literally, we are way ahead of schedule in preparation and the baby's room is practically complete.
I'm sitting here, watching gilmore girls, and thinking about what i'm going to do the rest of the summer now. I am all trained for my work but no students have been assigned to me yet (which has been frustrating) so this week I've been knocking off all my summer to-do lists! My boss promised me some students by Sunday but she can't really control it and is doing all she can! one week of no work really makes you miss work? hahaha how sad. it's the money i miss more than anything really!
But I'm happy to be working from home, I just wish it'd pick up- but just as back up- I applied to a bunch of close companies today and if I don't have any students by Monday, I'll work at Chuck. no joke! that'd be weird for Chase but it'll just be temporary and good money. anyways.
ope rory and dean are fighting about him telling her he loves her and she doesn't know how she feels about that. i better pay attention. this is a good part. (no dad, i'm not tempted to get my master's yet) and i best finish the laundry so i can go hang out with my girlfriend for the night! if she texts me back :) !
also- plug for myself and the byu paper. our friend sam wrote this article. i feel famous. and your relationship and life story sounds so simple when it's summarized in a newspaper article. hahaha. precious.
here are the crib pics.
this is not part of my crib. this is a gag gift box (you put a different, legit present inside) that kelly brought to the baby shower i threw last week and it is fantastic. when annie opened the gift we all were frozen and spitting out "wow that's new! oh how creative!" hahhahah while kelly testified that her baby loved it and it was so helpful. etc. etc. she laughed at our reaction! thank goodness it was a joke. except when i told chase- he doesn't think it's that bad of an idea. classic. his entrepreneur mind better not get any ideas. hahah cutie.
after we picked up the crib from the ksl ad.... poor cousin cody. he was careful not to scratch the tinted windows though. hahaha. the things you do for family.
 the beaut! the crib!
and my mother-in-law, Julie the shopper, found these crib set decorations at a garage sale :) and some of the blankets are from my sister. so fun and cute!!
this crib is available at walmart. LINK. we got it for $80 including the mattress. aka julie got it.
chase told her we'd pay $80 when she posted it for $100. I always feel guilty about haggling. but gotta do what you gotta do!

Happy Mother's Day

It's been a nice Mother's Day in the Anderson household. Everyone at the restaurant has to work today :( so Chase has left for work- so that's mehhh but at least I'm in a quiet, clean, comfortable home feeling my baby kick. I can officially declare that I feel her movements. They are far and few between but I feel at least 5-10 kicks/rolls throughout the day! Distinct kicks! I've been feeling some kind of movement for the last 5 or so weeks but starting yesterday they became very distinguishable. Once Chase gets a feel- then it will become even more official.
I was secretly hoping for some showered mother love today but we can't win 'em all. By next year's mother's day it will be official and Chase will for sure remember :) haha. I will just make him feel guilty when I shower him with father love on Father's Day next month- that's true love right there with selfless motives.
But I must say that I feel very blessed to be a mother in the makin' ( 9 month makin'!) and have a fantastic mother and mother-in-law!
In sacrament meeting today, I was hit with a special memory of my beloved Julie. When I came home from my mission I was a wreck- and that's an understatement. I was driving home from institute one evening and had to pull over because my bawling tears were blinding me. I didn't want to be home. I was reminded by my good-intentioned-institute teacher that I was reluctantly back home (she made me stand up and tell the class something that was hurting me that they wouldn't know by looking at me. [the lesson was on not judging each other bc we never know what the other person is going through] I stood there all awkward and thinking of what to share when she voluntarily shares "maybe having to come home early from your mission last week? i'm sure that's something really hard to deal with that nobody can tell by looking at you." it was a weird moment and i nodded and then just sat down.) anyways- that was on my mind as i was driving- but with only being home for a week, it was never NOT on my mind. i hadn't received a letter from chase in weeks (it turned into months!) bc the federal mail system in brazil was on strike. perfect timing! and i was at my breaking point. i pulled over and called Julie.she is just the woman to call when you want someone to cry with you. she was at a family gathering and it was noisy- but she still stepped aside to take a few minutes for me! she showered me with love and reminded me of God's love and Chase's love. It's a very tender memory for me and Julie prolly doesn't even remember bc she is constantly supporting, nurturing, and comforting others. but for me- it was crucial! and for some reason, in sacrament meeting today, that popped into my mind and I felt so blessed to have Julie as my mother-in-law. She is a very loving mother and cares so deeply for others! Chase has inherited that great skill of how to love someone so completely from her and his dad! I am grateful for the mother that Julie is!
I also am so grateful for my mother and that she was in town just a couple weeks ago! And she'll be back again for the baby in September, for sure! She might even come before that, too. Her presence and constant phone calls are such sunshine in my life. My mother has taught me that having inner happiness regardless of circumstances is vital, that having a personal private relationship with God is most important, that being a loyal wife and mother is of great value, and that living an honest life makes for a more simple, joyful life. She is a strong woman and a great mom! She raised 6 completely different kids that all have parts of her in them and great reasons to love her! I always joke with her that she raised me and made me into what I am- it's a joke bc I do quite the opposite of what my mom would do. I came out spitting fire and making jokes whether she taught me to or not. She doesn't always take credit for who or why I am the way I am but she loves and supports me through it all! We have such an honest, open, and close relationship that I wouldn't want it any other way and I do all I can to keep it growing and awesome! I hope my baby daughter in there and me can be as close, honest, and loving to one another. My mother is a major voice of reason and voice of love in my head! I love you, Mom! and here are some lovely pictures and memories to prove it! (p.s. when you awake from you nap we must skype- dad is supposed to remind you :)!!!)
it's so nice to record who loves you, who you love, and all the love you have in your life! it makes for such a strong spirit in the home!
oh also as i'm laying here- i am reminded of some funny quotes from our little primary class today:
"your stomach is getting so fat" -e. why thank you, e! just before the opening prayer of our lesson. my spirit is flying high. hahaha but honestly it's cool. i told them weeks ago that i was pregnant and they could expect me and my belly to get quite large. hahah. even in this pic of lying on my back- the belly is popping. it's weird that's it's becoming obvious to others now :) but i welcome it.
also, chase was trying to quite some of the children and one of of our kids said "yeah.... well you have yellow hair" and for some reason chase and i couldn't stop laughing. yellow hair? who says that! 5 year olds- that's who! yeah, he's blonde but it's not albino blonde or anything.
then i was telling a little girl how her mommy (who told me herself after sacrament meeting) likes to scuba dive and how that's a cool hobby and can see such pretty fish and etc. and the little one says "my mommy does not scuba dive. who do you think you are?" and pulls my face all close to hers and starts pretend punching me..... ok. sorry? hahahaha.
kids are so strange and so cute! we love our calling!
well this post is getting long- like they always do- but i still have some pictures to show. this week has been crazy with settling in from our california trip and baby finds. there was an ad on ksl that said we are giving away a ton of free furniture in our garage- stop by and check it out. it was in provo. chase stopped by. we snagged some serious items!! we just added the dowel to these shelves- but otherwise- brand spanking new! we painted this dresser- i love color! the baby's room is really coming together. we're waiting on our crib and a few small items- but besides that- September can hurry up and get here!

also been spending some good time with mills this week! she loves to go to the "play park" and be outside! so do i!! she doesn't appreciate when i make her take pics with me, though. hence. and garret likes to look artistic sitting on a children's slide.
she loves kissing my belly and loving the baby. and when we were watching rio she put her feet over my belly and bounced her legs and kept repeating "i'm bouncing on your baby!" hahaha that's a good idea! but her legs prolly weigh... what? 6 pounds? justification!

and it's officially summer. i've started my new job and am loving it- more on that when i have more stories.
and we're back to our ritual volltensocpong mornings on saturdays (except i can't play this summer :( so i cuddle with cute babies :)!) if you like volleyball, tennis, soccer, and/or ping pong- come play with us! it's an amazing new sport that everyone will be into someday!
well that's that for now- more blogging later but for now i must turn the fan on and read the scrips. we're trying to go as long as possible without aircon this summer and i think i can make it at least till june.... being pregnant doesn't help :) gotta save those dollar bills!!!!

Visiting our fam in San Fran!!!

We had an amazing week in San Francisco! Let's start from the beginning!!
We left early Tuesday morning and made the 13.5 hour drive in 12 hours! We actually really enjoyed this drive! We had The Host on cd and cruised on over to Cali. We were told (via doctor) to stop at least every three hours for pregnant women's prone-ness to blood clots. and even with that we got there in good time and in good moods. We pulled into the Loud's neighborhood at 4:15. They weren't home till 5 so we cleaned our car and stretched our legs! We were so happy to be there and couldn't wait to see Josh, Shelbs, Aubs, and Andrew! We went to a delicious Thai restaurant and stayed up late talking!
I secretly pray that when Josh graduates in June he somehow gets a job in Utah- even though he didn't apply anywhere in Utah. It would be so awesome to have my sis and little babies live closer than a 12 hour drive :)

The next day we hit the city!!!
Uncle Chase and the kiddos were ready to go! P.s. children wake up at 6 am? i was used to that with my job but i would head out the door for work sans children. waking up at 6 and playing all morning at home- that's a long morning! i'll get used to it when the times comes! i got used to it during our short week there but have to admit i loved sleeping till 10 this morning! catch up for this exhausted pregnant woman.

these little sunshines. andrew is our little precious moments nephew! his big eyes melt me!
we walked across the golden gate bridge!
there was a windy mist that was fantastic (shelby was cold but we remembered utah more clearly! and loved it)
and aubrey was constantly dodging bikers as she ran up and down the bridge with uncle chase tried to keep up!

i loved having these two babies on my hips all week! and my baby in my belly! i seriously loved this week! we were in heaven! and it was awesome that my sister got all those days off work to host us and love us!

we have alcatraz on the left. the city sky line on the right. and we're on the bridge.
then we drove up to a look out point and took in the beautiful city some more!!
we love san fran..... and each other.
and then off to fisherman's wharf for lunch! clam chowder bread bowl of course! and andrew was going crazy for the seagulls. as you can see in this photo- he can't focus on anything else :) and every time he sees a bird or dog he growls..... forever! rawr rawr rawr! it's the best AND whenever we walk outside or get out the car he points at the sky and says psht psht psht!! it's hard to explain but it's our favorite quirk now and we do it all the time!
then a quick stop to china town and we bought a little chinese dress with matching shoes for baby girl! it was great! you really feel like you're somewhere in asia. not exactly china but some asian type country because nobody is speaking english and you are the minority as a white couple walking around! if we lived in san fran and didn't have a baby on the way- i'd wanna live in a walk up in chinatown! fav place!

then the next day we spent the day at the beach! half moon bay!!
i love how these two get along so well. play together. and look out for each other! this is us looking for starfish! we found over 15 and they were all such bright colors. yellow, orange, purple, blue, pink!
an actual picture with my sister :) it's so rare now with my niece and nephew obsessions
chase with our purple starfish! don't worry we put it back :)
then chase and aubrey were busy making a sandcastle!!
and we all enjoyed destroying it!

we got a little sun kissed aka burnt! (but that must happen once at the beginning of the summer and will keep me tannin' the rest of the summer!) and had a great picnic, put our feet in the water, and fun adventures!! a day at the beach was just the ticket for us! and naps on the way home- not shelbs- she was driving!

the next day we toured standford- no pics? unlike me! but i was very impressed with the campus. it was beautiful and massive!!!

also while we were in town, we cleaned out their storage unit. that was a TASK!! it took a couple hours but we got paid...... with baby items (i'll write a whole post on that next!) and shelby had to take advantage of her bro-in-law in town who can lift an abnormal amount and massive weight of things! i wasn't much help. i just entertained the kids and got water for everyone.

also shelbs found a great deal at this store for this lil tike truck thing! chase put it together for the kids. that took another two hours. it's sturdy as a horse though- don't you worry!

and this was the cutest thing ever! aubs is only 3 years old and a slow driver so this was safe and adorable! we followed closely! andrew is aubrey's shadow and she is cool with it... most of the time :) i can't wait to have TWO babies :) hahaha one step at a time though!

shelby also introduced me to saver's! i got a steal on books (included in the next post!)
we also went to the bombay hut where we had an indian buffet! delicious! and i finally warmed up to mango flavor with their mango icecream! i normally do not care for mango. but this was delicious!!

oh also these children are very well behaved. and mature. they take after their parents and their good parenting skills! big shoes for me to try and follow. anyways! the children were disrupted by us with their nap schedules and it was all for exciting in their house this week and a few nights in a row we heard a pouting aubrey shout "my mom isn't being nice to me!"
"aubrey sit down on the step till the timer goes off" -parent
"yeah but my mom isn't being nice to me."
"well i think my mom isn't being nice to me."
over and over again. hahhahaha. what a cutie!! chase and i had to turn our head constantly to hide our smiles!!!

playing barbies was always a must! aubs was weary of letting andrew play with her barbies but no heads were popped off- just slobbered on :)

and on saturday we went to visit our uncle jared and the cousins! there was this great park with fountains and playgrounds. the kids had a blast! we loved chasing them around! we also had a barbecue dinner and trampoline fun. i watched :)

this week was fun-filled and amazing. i was so happy to see my sister and spend time with her family! it was great that chase could spend time with them and they could get to know chase better! i miss them so much already!!

but i do have to say that i'm happy to be home bc the drive home yesterday was longer than i could handle. i'm not too pregnant but still too pregnant for long car rides like that again :) we got a little lost at donner's pass and ended up at lake tahoe!  how did we even get off i-80? i have no idea! luckily we figured it out sooner than later! it was beautiful (maybe even beautiful enough for the hour detour).
we now will plan a family vacay to lake tahoe. it was seriously one of the most beautiful sites i've seen! and we got home by 8 last night and this morning, i have been organizing, washing, and unloading the baby stuff!
i took this pic in the mountain tops before we realized we were lost and had let my frustration and carsickness get the best of me! chase was so patient and really helped me take in all the beauty!
