Our New Place Upstairs!!

It is a dream!
We LOVE it! We are so grateful and seriously can't believe how ideal our living situation is with my job.
It's almost totally put together and I am so pleased with our slice of heaven!

And now even more space with the new baby coming! So perf!

We esp love:
- the natural light and big windows
-the way it doesn't look as messy
-capri has so much space to run around (sorry raech downstairs)
-you can't hear all the noise in the ap't anymore; you have space and silence
-room to entertain
-washer and dyer room
-our new king bed
-Capri sleeps even better and longer with her bedroom no longer beneath a bathroom
-the stairs give me exercise
-and again storage/ space
-etc. etc.

good ole pregnancy meds corner

There are actually 2 separate rooms for the kitchen and living room. What a blessing!

My mother-in-law is amazing! She helped me SOOO much with the curtains and all the wall hangings.
Esp this gallery wall. She has a serious talent! Thanks, Julie baby!

The door on the left is the laundry/storage room
The door on the right is the bathroom

A kitchen table! Another luxury for being upstairs.

I love this wall and the quote of love and miracles!
Julie also has ideas for a plant arrangement for that shelf up there.
She really has invested so much into our place :)

This is the view from Capri's room. And then showing Capri's door. And down the hall to the left is our room.
Chase put up these curtains today- so i love it so much and am finally blogging. So fresh and new.

All of this used to be in Capri's room downstairs.
This is honestly my favorite room in the house. It brings me so much joy to have the organization and these items tucked away in their own room! Laundry is a dream now and I don't have to coordinate around Capri's nap schedule anymore. It's the little things!

Food storage is more plausible now. Idk how far goldfish will get us in the apocalypse though!

Kelly, I apologize.
I know the way I have folded these towels and sheets are driving your crazy.
Chase is a better folder than me (when he does fold) but no roommate can compare to your skills. If you come over, I will let you fold them :) hahah jk I won't put you to work.

This crimped monster! She is obsessed with running her hands under the faucet!
The only downside of this bathroom is that "it is a double sink but only one sink has a faucet".... it gives us counter space though :) #FWP

From both ends of the room.
The rooms are MASSIVE upstairs!
We put our old queen bed in there- and it's wonderful for those rare occasions where she is up early and I wanna lay down while she plays!
Capri will sleep on the queen when this new baby sleeps through the night.... Aka probably not till Capri is closer to 3. And then the babe can move from the pac-n-play to the crib.

Her babies' crib next to her own.

A fav find from hobby lobby.
Chase ended every mission tape with that song.
And now I sing it to Capri every night.
I love you a bushel & a peck.....

You can almost always find her (and charlotte and chantelle and any friend that is over) in this tent! That cheeseball!

From both ends of the room

Chase's closet and dresser.

My closet and dresser.

The most amazing king bed on the planet! We are never going back! We love it! and since I'm about to get huge- perfect timing!
Also, once again, my amazing m-i-l is working on awesome pillows for the bed. We've already bought the material and what not- she's halfway and they are to die for. When they're all done- that will be another post! After our spring break california trip :)

Anywho- you can see that this place is a dream and we are so happy to be upstairs!

picture crazy

i love to take pics of capri. 18 months later and i'm still snapping pics daily!
squash for breakfast. delicious.

working with mom is her favorite- even though she is always answering the phone, typing, highlighting, whining for the mouse, taking out files, and taking out the trash for me.... she tries to help. but it's more work for me.

it's stinkin cute when customers come in though bc she says hi, reaches for the keyboard, grabs what comes out of the printer, hands it to them, and says bye.
she's pro. been working since she was 2 months old so it makes sense.

always have to take pics of her in outfits that were gifts and pic message them to the giver!
thanks grandma anderson!

matching hair again! braids!!
this was such a good day!
chase and i once again had the whole day off. we had a picnic at discovery park and it was chase's first time. he was obsessed. so much in fact. that he and dave are going back, measure, take pics, and figure out how they can recreate it in dave's backyard.

this gave us a good laugh

lookin' fresh for a blue lemon date with auntie lauryn
her hair is crimpy today and it's to die for

tried to capture how everytime i crouch down or pick something up, she hops on my back and hugs me. it's adorable.
ok iphone pic cleared and up on the blog. done.

Natural History Museum

Last week, we took the little tots to the Natural History Museum. We really enjoyed it and are excited to see more of Utah and all the fun museums, aquariums, hikes on our Utah list!
There really is so much to see and learn.
The architecture of this new building was awesome. The exhibits were great, too.
Science, archeology, geology, weather, mammals, and more! Our favorite was the dinosaur exhibit!
We'll let the pics and vids tell the rest.
the roof view

charlotte loved the ice age/dinosaur exhibit and kept saying how it was her favorite;
but towards the end, all the skulls and bones started freaking her out. it was adorable.

chase and the girls.
that gator in the background was terrifying. it could fit chase's whole bod down his guzzle without even chewing! i think it could give t-rex a run for its money.

triceratops wall

the babies had quite the ordeal when they came upon this glass floor.
it psyched me out, too, so i can see where they are coming from!
they had to cross glass like this three different times.
so cute!

the girls in their element!
they were soaked!

a little dress up! I checked thoroughly for lice. paranoid.

we had a blast! (even if we were stuck in traffic for two hours after trying to get to bluffdale!)

the natural history museum followed by frozen yogurt made for the perfect day off with the kiddos!

sweet moments

I have been meaning to blog for DAYS that's why there are quadruple posts.
but i had to share this.
I was feeling super emotional the other day. Shocker!
I made some comment how I miss Chase's grand gestures. He went into our bedroom- so I assumed he wanted to be alone and/or was napping. About ten minutes later, he asked me to come in and he had set up a little couch-like setting right in front of our west facing window with a blanket so we could watch the sun go down together. It was magical with the cool spring air, the mountains, and the colorful sky! It was too tender. The lighting in the room made it difficult to capture it- but I did my best bc these are my favorite, heart-melting moments.

my dad is in brazil right now for business and he got to spend yesterday with paulo (our brazilian brother from another mother). We really miss paulo, but we are glad we can keep in touch and dad could see him! We will get to brazil one day, too.
This reunion really melts my heart with friendship and blows my mind on how small the world seems these days!

all his side

I've never seen such a false group text! Oh Chase!!
EVEN if it was true, it's irrelevant bc of our now king bed! We both have plenty of space!
But just to prove that he is the bed hog.... i documented.
He threatened me if I posted these..... well bring on the pain, sunny jim!

as i was blinding him with the flash, he said "see! i am on the edge!!" um...... you could fit a whole person in between chase and the edge. i think he believes he is on the edge if he can reach the edge with his ape-long arms! i rest my case :)
