the flower girl wedding

Capri was the sweetest flower girl at our cousin's wedding last weekend. The whole day went beautifully and I was so happy for them, especially Amanda! It's always a worry as a bride that there will be disasters, but the whole day was a smashing success! And I was very relieved that my one-year old was able to accomplish her flower-girl duties!
Practicing all week and right before the ceremony started!

moral support from her cousins

aunt ciara the bridesmaid, who was a big help to capri getting down the aisle!

the vows were in session, but capri was dedicated to her flower-girl task....... petals everywhere. luckily everyone thought it was adorable and a nice touch.

more wedding fun

also i'm obsessed with their wedding song's first dance!

also from last weekend. i was able to help a fellow katy ward member get to byu music camp. it was emma's first time to utah! so we had some fun touring and saw good ole temple square!

and i was able to meet up with college roomie babes at the splash pad in springville on friday (it is my fav splash pad so far!) and i love to be reminded of how much i love these bffs and their fams!

and to close with this cute video.
one of her favorite books! she is killing me with all her tricks and cuteness!
love modern technology that can capture it all. it's going to be even more fun to look back at when she's older!

Funny moment:
"Babe! You're looking pregnant today!" -Chase
"What?" (I really didn't hear him too well) -Me
"I mean you are looking good and pregnant. I love seeing you pregnant." -Chase repeats nervously
"Haha. I wasn't grilling you. Thanks! I know for some reason you like this bloated look." -Me

In fact, the other day I overhead Chase and my cousin Dallin talking about how they love it when their wives are pregnant and they are even more attracted to them..... hahaha. Speaking of! My cousin had her baby yesterday and I can't wait to see him later this evening! Little Finn!!!!

splash pad and camping fun!

this summer is going to be full of splash pad visits and camping! this is our happy place!

cousin time!

charlotte loved it! even in her made-up swim outfit!

capri also couldn't be pulled from the water!

chantelle howeve was a lot more comfortable just watching and sitting on this rock 99% of the time

except when capri would yell, "chantelle! chantelle! come here"
and then physically grab her hand and drag her to the fountains!

and then a couple days later, i took capri again. it was cloudy and cold out- so she preferred the slides and swings!

monday night we had a little fhe camping trip! It was glorious!
Being in nature is so therapeutic- for a night or two :)

capri was in heaven!
exploring! sitting in this mini chair. blowing dandelions. collecting sticks!
a kid's playground!

the boys! took care of everything so i barely had to do any work!

the boys on their air mattress...... that went flat.
we'll patch that asap!

and the girls on their air mattress! that was amazing and comfy all night!
capri slept like a champ from 9:30-6:30 (pretty good with the new environment, noises, and early sunrise!)

and more summer fun
went with some friends to hear the amazing, free, british, brass band at the park on sunday
with our picnic and good times!

just picasso with her paint in the tub!

capri is terrified when i catch her putting soap bubbles in her mouth! hahah. we love to watch this video over and over and see her jump a mile high!

"bless you"
this polite sweetie!
she comes up with all these new tricks every week and they kill me!

and of course this little guy!
our 20 week ultra sound was last week.
everything looked great and he was quite the somersaulting fool!
but we do have to go back to check some areas that the tech couldn't see with all his movement and contortionist ways!
yay! i'm down for another insurance-covered ultra sound!
as capri is watching me blog and she sees this ultra sound pic, she is jumping and shouting, "baby!"
i didn't even teach her that but she has been listening and observes everything- even at the live ultra sound she would shout, "baby!"

well, the you go! there is a little insight to our summer. outdoor fun and a pregnant summer for this fam!

side effect

oh it's so romantic waiting for a missionary, right? RIGHT! it really is :) my dreams came true the day Chase came home and I was more in love with him than ever.
I didn't realize there would be some less than ideal side effects. One of those being jealousy. Chase used to be the least jealous guy I've ever met, let alone dated!
But when you are in love with someone for two years and they love you back, yet they are dating while you're gone..... it can seem hurtful. Even if you decided before the mission that it was the correct course to take!
So hence some insecurity and jealousy. Just a little hiccup we had long talks about and sometimes still have to reassure and resolve. It's more funny now than anything. We've been married long enough and what not, that he isn't as bugged..... but there are rare occasions.
For example.....
The other day we were studying Jesus the Christ together. Chase found this in my missionary copy and started going on and on about Paul.
Paul, huh? Paul? I thought no guys wrote you on your mission. Etc.
I was shocked myself, because it didn't ring a bell. So I took it and examined it.

And this was on the back.......
So yah. From one of my mish companions

And Chase is officially jealous of a 2000 year old missionary from the New Testament! Haha! We laughed for a long time. Even Chase couldn't help but laugh. And sometimes I still chuckle when I think about the whole scenario.

The Parents Visit

My mom was in town for a number of weeks and my dad was in town for a number of days. We had a great time! I will let the pics and small little quips tell the rest!
her best friend.
they left saturday back to texas :(
sunday and monday morning, i heard her in her crib yelling "grandma, grandma!"
she was sorely disappointed when it was just me getting her out of her crib!

night games with the cousins in roosevelt.
grounders, capture the flag, tour guide, red rover, and cops & robbers.
a blast.

how you take a family pic- behind the scenes

chase, always putting up a fight for my family pics

that's better

my little nugget!
speaking of nugget...... today i was at walgreens getting some prescriptions in the drive-thru and capri was in the backseat screaming, "Eat! Eat! Chicken Nuggets! Mommy! Eat!" and was saying it over and over! She wasn't thrilled that all i "ordered" was anti-nausea.
hahaha the pharmacist got a kick out of that.
you know you go to fast food too much when your baby knows what a drive-up window is...... mother fail!

family games

18 weeks.
i am now 20 and have my detailed ultra sound friday! yay!
cutest diva in heels.

mother-in-law's bday!
we had rio dizios for lunch and then a park date with the nieces and my parents!

dancing like pros

my parents were loving their capri time and snapped pics pics pics of her

he is trying to digest an avocado pit.
this quirky brother of mine

cody and i thought she looked just like chase in this pic!

her favorite movie is tarzan....
so the last two days she has been coming up to me whenever tarzan places his hands on kala's or jane's. we have to place our hands against each other's.
 it's the cutest!!

i looked in my rear view mirror and saw the best sight!
had to snap a pic.
she is getting good at properly placing her sunglasses.

chase and i took the girls to seven peaks today!
pass of all passes is awesome! seven peaks is so fun!
i was wondering if i could handle it alone if chase has to work another day.... nope. with three non swimmers.... it's too much! splash pad for us when i'm chaperoning solo!

we have had a fun couple of weeks and are loving the fact that summer is just getting started! and i am embracing the large and in charge pregnant summer! pregnancy is a blessing and these engorged pics will just make my postpartum bod that much more impressive!
hope you are having as much fun as us! it's the only way to go!

we miss you, gramma and pappa! we'll see you in a month though in htown!
